The wait is over now - 3 (under the new Hutchison/Vodafone ownership) has just released plans for all new iPhone 3GS models, as well as new pricing for the iPhone 3G.

On the face of it, the plans are good value.

The best deal looks to be the $79 cap plan with a free 16 GB iPhone 3GS with 1 GB data. This is almost identical the Optus $79 cap plan, which also includes 1GB data.

For users who don’t need a lot of data, the $49 cap looks good. This can be paired wit the 16 GB model for an extra $14 p/m, or for $18 p/m the 32 GB model. Incldued data is 250Mb.

The plans are also good value for modem/laptoppers as tethering is free. The iPhones can also be purchases outright: $929 for the 16GB and $1,129 for the 32GB.
